Graham Kuerschner
The Principal Instructor and founder of SDT is Graham Kuerschner.
Graham has over 40 years experience in the martial arts in
a variety of systems and is internationally trained and graded
(Israel, Hong Kong and Philippines). He is a contributing
editor to Blitz, Australia's leading national martial art
magazine and has a regular column in every issue.
He presently holds the ranks of Expert Level 1 in Krav Maga,
5th Level Instructor in Wing Chun, 5th Degree Black Belt in
Doce Pares Eskrima (Filipino stick and knife fighting), 4th
Degree Black Belt in Pangamot (Filipino Jiu Jitsu), and is
a Senior Instructor in SDMS with Hoch Hockheim's American
Scientific Fighting Congress. Graham is also a blue belt of
John Will's Machado Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He teaches students
in Adelaide, Melbourne, and Sydney, is a qualified Fitness
Leader and a Level 2 Coach under the Federal Government's
National Coaching Accreditation Scheme.
Graham was involved in assisting Robert Redenbach teach representatives
from the specialist Army and NSW Police units that have responsibility
for providing security during the Sydney 2000 Olympics. Robert
is the creator of the P.A.T.S. (formerly 'Kontact') system
for security personnel and was the defensive tactics instructor
for the South African security services and British SAS.
Graham has a Bachelor's degree and an Honours degree in Science
from Adelaide University and a Masters degree in Business
Management from Deakin University
